Volunteer Spotlight: Richard Richison

During this season of giving, we are sincerely grateful for our dedicated volunteers that give their time, talent and treasure to support our work. This month we are especially appreciative of Richard Richison and his involvement on our Board of Management and support of YFS.

Richard came to us with a background working with former foster youth, previously serving on the board of Just in Time. Richard has been a strong fundraiser during our Annual Support Campaign the past two years, even holding his own fundraiser in his home. As Chair of the Governance Committee he has implemented strategies to recruit new members and engage current members for the YFS Board.

Richard represented YFS at the Grand Re-opening of TAY Academy, speaking to the strength of the partnership between the Palomar Family YMCA and YFS. Most recently, Richard has connected us to the Christ Lutheran Church Ministries which has committed to donating part of their holiday offering to YFS.

Always going above and beyond what is requested of him, Richard is an integral part of our Board of Management and we are truly grateful for his dedication and commitment to our work.

If you are interested in sharing your time, talents and treasure with us, please consider joining Richard and our wonderful team by becoming a Board Member.
